Become our next Secretary General

As Secretary General, you will drive meaningful change and elevate the impact of our global movement dedicated to empowering young people. You will be responsible for leading a globally dispersed team of staff and volunteers, overseeing strategic planning, and securing funding to support the sustainable growth and development of Scouting worldwide.

Welcome

Thank you for your interest in becoming World Scouting’s next Secretary General. This is a unique opportunity to lead our global movement, empowering 57 million young people to become active citizens and agents of positive change.

Scouting is a worldwide force for good. It has been shaping lives for over a century, equipping young people with skills to thrive and make a meaningful impact in their communities. As Secretary General, you will guide our movement toward achieving its mission, supported by a new strategy to ensure that Scouting remains relevant, inclusive, and impactful.

We’re looking for someone with the expertise to lead our diverse, values-based organisation, from strategic planning and business development to financial management and navigating complex governance structures. You’ll inspire confidence on the global stage and collaborate with young people, volunteers, and partners, building on more than 100 years of transformative learning experiences to deepen Scouting’s reach and impact worldwide.

If you’re passionate about empowering young people and ready to lead our youth movement into its next chapter, we’d love to hear from you. Join us in shaping the future of Scouting and empowering young people to gain the skills, values, and confidence they need to be ready for life.
